LGBTQ+ Speaker Series: LGBTQ+ HIV Equity
I was privileged to continue collaborating with CVS Health and Accenture on the CVS Health-Accenture LGBTQ+ Health Equity Speaker Series for its next session–Breaking the Cycle of HIV Misinformation, Stigma, and Bias. In this sixth session, I continued in my standard core producer team role.
In this session, we discussed HIV and AIDS progress as well as the misinformation, stigma, and bias against the LGBTQ+ community in this decades-long epidemic. Unfortunately, these negatives limit progress. While science has brought us far in the fight against HIV and AIDS, we hold ourselves back through this negative trio. It will take all of us together to bridge final gaps to end the damage this virus has done to the world.
Joining us in this discussion included Jeff Berry, Co-Founder and Executive Director for The Reunion Project; Dr. Marissa Robinson, Management Analyst with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Infectious Diseases and HIV/AIDS Policy; Dr. David Malebranche, Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs with Gilead Sciences; and Elizabeth Rodriguez, Pharmacy Manager with CVS Specialty Retail. Hosting and moderating was Natasha Sunderji, Global Health Lead with Accenture. Special thanks to all of our guests for sharing their experiences and insights in LGBTQ+ HIV health equity.
This discussion on LGBTQ+ HIV Misinformation, Stigma, and Bias was the continued extension of this tremendous program. View the discussion on YouTube here. For information on prior sessions, view any and all of my prior posts during those launches:

This series continues to make a deep impact, providing timely and important resources in LGBTQ+ health equity and health care that demonstrate that we can all proactively help in societal progress. A healthier society takes all of us, and the results of proactive habits are worth the time, intentionality, and other investments.
To our collective health!
